Kenneth Tan is the President for Asia-Pacific and Japan at Varian Medical Systems. Varian is a global leader in solutions for advancing cancer treatment; specializing in radiotherapy, proton therapy, and oncology informatics software. Varian is a pioneer of solutions that have successfully integrated machine learning, artificial intelligence, and cloud-based delivery. 

 

Kenneth has 20 years of experience in healthcare; having held strategy and commercial leadership roles managing businesses up to $800 Million in Varian, Medtronic, Covidien, Boston Scientific, and Novartis. More than 15 years are in the implantable, disposable medical devices, capital equipment, and managed services; covering various Global markets and regions in Asia-Pacific.  

 

Kenneth has built his success around driving difficult strategic shifts through organizations; in areas of business strategy and organizational transformation. In the area of leadership development, Kenneth is passionate about “Fair-Process Leadership” and driving Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. He strongly believes that Purpose, Culture, and Sustainability are key strategic pillars for organizations to thrive and attract a new generation of leaders.  

 

Kenneth’s academic foundation is in Biotechnology and he obtained his BBA from the University of South Australia. He is an alumnus of INSEAD, having completed their Advanced Management Program.
