Ai Hua Ong
Ai Hua is currently the Deputy Secretary, Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF), Singapore. Prior to that she worked at Johnson & Johnson for nearly 30 years ago with the desire to make a difference in the lives of people in need.
In her last corporate role, she was the Head of Government Affairs & Policy for the Company’s pharmaceutical, medical devices, and consumer health businesses in Asia-Pacific.
Ai Hua was the Company Group Chair for Janssen, the Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson 2017-2020, and led a team of more than 7000 employees across Asia-Pacific. She had pioneered and implemented J&J’s first one-company business model encompassing pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and consumer health products as President of Southeast Asia. She also led the medical devices business for J&J Medical China.
Ai Hua holds a BSc in Microbiology and Biochemistry and an MBA from the National University of Singapore. She is an advocate for women in leadership, a committed volunteer and council member at the Dover Park Hospice, and an advisory board member of Lee Kong Chian School of Business and Design Singapore Council.
She enjoys outdoor sports and nature walks with her husband Thomas and their chocolate Labrador, Kiwi. A culinary passion of hers is in experimenting with food recipes with spices and herbs in her free time.
