Daphne Ong is Vice President of Human Resources for Boston Scientific in the Asia Pacific region, a role she has held since November 2017. She is a member of the Asia Pacific regional leadership team.

 

Daphne is a seasoned Human Resources leader with more than 25 years’ experience in the healthcare and high-tech sectors. Her expertise is in strategic business partnering, building organisational culture, talent development, organisational development and effectiveness to support the business objectives of the region and ultimately, serve more patients and make a difference to developing talents. She is also an executive coach.

 

Daphne has worked in blue chip multinationals including Medtronic Asia Pacific and Hewlett-Packard Asia Pacific where she joined as a Contracts Negotiator in the Sales team and held various roles of increasing responsibilities across functions during nearly a decade there. It was at Hewlett-Packard that shaped Daphne’s leadership philosophy, adopting the “Rules of the Garage” as her north star.

 

Daphne holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Master of Laws, specialising in International Business Law, from the National University of Singapore.

 

She enjoys travelling with her husband, especially to developing countries (any place which will change drastically in the next decade) and experiencing their unadulterated beauty, word puzzles and a game of tennis.
